Running events

Whether you’re a walker, a serious marathon runner or anything in between, join the WoW running team and help more women get the most out of life by raising money to help fund vital medical research and the development of specialist doctors and nurses.

In return we promise to treat you as an individual and ensure that you'll get the most out of your running challenge. We will help you with your fundraising endeavours by providing you with a WoW running vest and a fundraising pack that contains information on the work of Wellbeing of Women along with fundraising tips and materials such as moneyboxes, balloons and posters.

So slip on your running shoes and take part in any of these current running challenges:

5ks and Fun Runs:
The Adidas Women's 5k Challenge in London's Hyde Park is our key 5k run, suitable for top runners (it attracts world record holders), club runners, hobby runners and those who just jog or walk.  More info here

The British 10k London - July 2010
We have guaranteed places for the British 10k in London for more information go to the The British 10K London Run page.

Half Marathons
The Bupa Great North Run - unfortunately this year we have no guaranteed places, but if you have a ballot place and would like to run for us, we'd love to hear from you.  More info on the run at  The BUPA Great North Run

Marathons
Each year we have 5 guaranteed places for the Virgin London Marathon - competition is high for these and we already have applications for 2012!  If you are interested then find out more at Virgin London Marathon

We are always keen to encourage any own place runners in other marathons both in the UK and overseas.  If you would like to know more then please contact Deborah in the WoW Office on 020 7772 6400.

Many people choose to run in events close to their homes or that represent a particular challenge for them - please do let us know if you are planning to run for Wellbeing of Women and we will promote your efforts on the website. and provide you with any fundraising materials or help you need.
