LAY TITLE: Analyses of the value of diagnostic tests for predicting preterm birth

Authoritative guidance on the most efficient diagnostic tests for managing women with threatened premature labour is urgently required as, at present, there are various screening and testing practices but no clear summaries of published research studies.

This study will evaluate the existing evidence on the accuracy of the various diagnostic tests and establish the most effective diagnostic strategies.
