Fabulous Magazine - July 2009

Sarah Brown guest editor of a special edition of Fabulous Magazine

July marked a significant milestone in the history of Wellbeing of Women, where we embarked on a very exciting collaboration with Fabulous magazine. Fabulous is Britain's biggest glossy magazine, published weekly inside the News of the World. Sarah Brown, our patron, agreed to be the guest-editor of the issue of Fabulous on Sunday 19th July, 2009. This special edition was themed around Women's health issues and particularly focused on the work of Wellbeing of Women. Sarah Brown personally chose topics that she believes will be of interest to readers and inspire them to become more involved with us. We are thrilled to be working with Fabulous because millions of women will be inspired to talk about their bodies and break the taboos around gynae health. The money that Fabulous readers raise will make a huge difference to the medical research we support and bring better treatments for the future and we are delighted that the magazine has publicly pledged its commitment to raising £500,000 for new research.

As a supporter of Wellbeing of Women we hope that you will be encouraged to buy a copy of the News of the World on Sunday 19th July and take a look at our special issue of Fabulous. We plan to continue our collaboration and will let you know of forthcoming issues and events supporting the campaign.

We would also like you to thank Sarah Brown for undertaking this work on our behalf. She has been a loyal and active patron of the charity and we know her involvement will do so much to advance women's health. With her enthusiasm and the fantastic ideas being generated through our work with the Fabulous team and your continued support, this really is going to be a unbelievable year!
