Chelsea Flower Show Evening 2009
Once again we were very lucky to be offered the opportunity to host a reception at one of the show gardens at the Chelsea Flower Show. This year our hosts were the Telegraph Media Group and their Daily Telegraph garden won 'Best in Show'.
Receiving this accolade on the day of our event, the excitement surrounding the garden was palpable, and most of our guests didn't get to see it properly until they were inside it - so packed were the crowds around the edge. We were very fortunate, considering how many other people wanted to speak to him, that the garden designer, Ulf Nordfjell, was able to spare some time to show us round and talk about the planting, the challenges of Chelsea and also about the beautiful Swedish artefacts displayed in the summer house.
Feeling wonderfully priviledged we then had drinks and nibbles beside the garden and many of the guests took the opportunity to look at the show gardens once the crowds had left.
